I was born in the state of Tabasco but my family moved to Mérida, Yucatan when I was 2 years old.
Even though Yucatecos do not consider me Yucateco, I do. Don’t tell them, but I am more Yucateco than they are!
I have made it a priority in my life to learn about the culture, the history & especially the food.
Mérida is a gastronomic destination. Therefore, I’ve spent most of my working years in the food industry: focusing on customer service, attending details, & ensuring customers have the best experience they can have.
I’ve been fortunate to work in a variety of types of businesses & restaurants.
One of my favorite places to work was El Colon Ice Cream Shop on Paseo de Montejo.
It was here that I realized the relationship between owners, customers, & employees. We were all treated like family.
That is the relationship we developed over time; supporting each other and sharing our stories of life’s triumphs and tragedies.
This is my foundation for customer service. I know making clients feel like they are part of a family is the secret to an organization’s success.
As the Vice President of Mérida Retirement Tours, it’s my intent to connect locals, expats, tourists & travelers over delightful food, artesanal beers, & craft cocktails during our gastronomic lunches & dinners.
We offer a full range of services including driving lessons, driver’s license assistance, private driving, short-term rentals, & much, much more to help make your Life in Mérida easier.
Just let us know what you need & we can help you or refer you to one of our trusted vendors.
I look forward to meeting you in Mérida!
