At 59, I’ve done everything . . . well, almost everything! I have always lived a life of no regrets. I never want to look back at my life and think, “What if . . .” or “I should have . . . “
My intuition has been a very good guide in directing my journey and I’m grateful for that.
I’ve been an entrepreneur since the age of 12 when I started selling handmade items on the town square in my small home town of Slaton, Texas.
Fashion was my passion so I opened a dress and accessory boutique when I was 17. It was one of my first loves.
Additionally, it was natural to study fashion design at Texas Tech University. After graduation, I moved to London and worked at Harrod’s, the world-famous department store.
Next, I moved to Austin, Texas after my time in London and worked at Texas Commission on the Arts and then Fulbright & Jaworski law firm.
After a year in Austin, I followed my college roommates to Dallas where I worked for a men’s clothing manufacturing firm. At this time, I began a new chapter in life by getting married and having 2 sons.
Subsequently, I had a very successful career in residential and international real estate. For the next 12 years, I sold real estate, helped people relocate, and traveled the world.
During that time, I also had the opportunity to live in the Riviera Maya, selling golf course lots at Bahia Principe.
After 14 years of marriage, I decided being married and a career in real estate weren’t for me.
I started over and began an organizing, packing, moving and staging business for realtors and their clients.
After my 2 sons had lives of their own, it was time for me again. I was ready to make the move to Mérida and to create a new life for myself. I’ve had so much fun living in Mérida.
Now, I’ve fully embraced ALL of my passions – writing, traveling, helping others, exploring local culture, and sharing the love I have for people and this wonderful city!
I look forward to meeting you in Mérida!
