- Plan for Every Day Carry*
*What is Every Day Carry? This was unfamiliar to me until I arrived in Mérida. Time and time again, I would leave my house and end up being somewhere that I needed one of these essential items. I’ve found it’s so much better to be prepared than to have to hunt for something at the time you need it.
Having a small bag or backpack with these essential items is not only important, it is necessary. Be prepared to avoid frustration while saving time and money (to help you have the BEST experience)!
I love this definition of Every Day Carry from Wikipedia:
Everyday carry (EDC) or every-day carry is a collection of useful items that are consistently carried on person every day. The main reasons for having EDC are utility and preparedness; to help individuals overcome simple everyday problems, and to prepare someone for unexpected and possibly dangerous situations.
