Best Mérida Tours: Unique Tours for 6 Guests

Sharing is caring!

After making my permanent move to Mérida from the U.S. solo, I know a thing or two about Life in Mérida thus the reason for Best Mérida Tours. Subsequently, I started my blog soon after I arrived. Like so many others, I had problems trying to find information about Mérida. I could find all the fun stuff  like where to eat, the best spas and what cenotes and ruins to visit. But, what I couldn’t find was how do I pay my electricity bill, how to meet other expats and why I can’t flush toilet paper. You know, the every day important stuff that’s well….important. Best Mérida Tours provides accurate and reliable resources through connecting guests to professionals. Answering questions, providing solutions, and introductions to helpful people and professionals are the primary goals.

Best Mérida Tours: Unique Tours for 6 Guests

Best Mérida Tours are for people who are:

  • Retirees
  • Remote workers
  • People who need medical, surgical and dental procedures (medical tourism)
  • Current residents that need assistance

In an intimate setting, guests have the opportunity to learn important information on topics such as:

  • healthcare
  • taxes
  • banking
  • end-of-life plans
  • insurance
  • medical procedures
  • hospitals & clinics

When additional information is needed, the guest schedules a one-on-one meeting with the professional.

When you think of tours, the first thought that comes to mind is large groups. Notably, our primary focus is to ensure every single guest gets one on one time with each professional. Moreover, this format ensures their questions are answered – no matter what part of the process they are in.

A principal part of the Mexican culture is “confianza” translated as trust. In other words, knowing the professional from a personal sense creates trust and comfort. Understandably, by keeping the group small, we can provide this valuable connection.

Of course, this is part of the southern hospitality we bring to the guests. Being from Texas, this is an incredibly important part of everything we do. Connecting with every single guest makes them feel unique and special. At this point, we know we have accomplished our goal.

Extended Tour Options

Importantly, we do not want to limit guests to only 7 days. We know on research trips, guests have specific requests and items of importance. Guests also have the option to extend their stay for as many days as they require. Therefore, we create individual itineraries based on these requests.

Each afternoon of the seven day tour, guests meet individually with professionals or they opt for free time.  Their free time can be used for wandering around the city, booking transportation for individual use or some of the activities below (for an additional cost):

  • Day trips to Izamal, Valladolid, Sisal, Celestun, Tikul, haciendas, ruins and cenotes
  • Dancing lessons with Erin Parsley, professional dancer from San Francisco
  • Spanish lessons with Hola Spanish school
  • Real estate searches including rentals and purchasing options (houses, apartments, high-rises, retirement communities)
  • Driving lesson to learn how to navigate traffic circles, stoplights, traffic signs, and more
  • Cultural sensitivity lesson – defining cultural differences, adapting to the Mexican culture
  • Local scene and hangouts
  • Expat scene and hangouts

As you can see, this is a very specialized process and why we only take groups of 6 guests. For more information about Best Mérida Tours, we offer consultations and can also create a personalized itinerary. We look forward to showing you the magical city of Mérida!
